本作品はthe guitar plus meが2001年にレーベル宅録王から発表した、カセットテープアルバム『suburban photographs』をリマスタリング、ボーナストラック3曲を加えてCDR化したものです。
30分テープのA面B面に8曲を収録した手作りのカセットテープアルバムは地道に売れ続け、最終的には８００本近く製作されました。
